Mpower - equipping the church to reach the broken
Every single day, young women all over the UK are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, self-harm, depression and the effects of abuse in all its forms. These women are in our communities, in our churches, in our youth groups, and in our families…
As a Christian charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing residential support for young women with life controlling issues, Mercy Ministries UK are passionate about the Church’s role in providing an answer to the needs of our society and we feel a responsibility to share our knowledge and expertise with those who are on the forefront of Christian social action.
To that end, we have developed our MPower training events to educate, equip, empower, and encourage church leaders in order to maximise the church’s response to the broken and vulnerable.
Each one-day MPower event is hosted by an experienced member of the MMUK team and consists of three main seminars focusing on:’ Eating Disorders’, ‘Self-harm’ and ‘Keys to Supporting Broken Women’.

LEADING YOUNG PEOPLE INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD
A one-day training conference on contemplative spirituality for youth and children's leaders seeking renewed spiritual direction for themselves and their groups. Organised by Urban Saints and led by Jenny Baker. Full details on the Energize website, including how to book.

Frontier Youth Trust is hosting three training days throughout 2009 - in London, Birmingham and Hexham in the north east. The day covers topics such as responding to challenging behaviour; working iwth young people outside the church; young people and spirituality; church on the edge; youth work after christendom and participation - all for £10!
